Customized Help For You And Your Dog

Whether you're raising a new puppy, improving everyday manners, wanting to learn advanced training skills or working through more challenging behaviors such as leash reactivity, fear, anxiety, or aggression, every training plan is customized to your dog's unique personality, behavior, and your goals. During each session, you'll work one-on-one with Anthony, learning practical training techniques and developing the skills needed to build lasting results long after the session is over.

Training begins where your dog is most comfortable—typically in your home and neighborhood—before gradually progressing to other real-world environments. As your dog gains confidence and reliability, sessions may expand to local areas around town such as Plandome Road, Mary Jane Davies Green, the Americana or other nearby locations such as the Sands Point Preserve or other dog-friendly locations that provide appropriate opportunities to practice skills and continue achieving your goals.

By training in the places where you and your dog actually spend time, you'll gain the confidence and experience needed to enjoy things like calmer walks, better behavior, and a stronger relationship throughout Manhasset and beyond.

Our Approach & Philosophy

Playdate with puppy Tess and Guinness from Manhasset

We approach each dog as an individual, helping them to be the best version of themselves while teaching you how to be the best owner for your dog.

As individuals, each dog learns, works and is motivated in different ways, which is why we do not believe in one training method or approach.

Our training techniques and behavior modification strategies incorporate a variety of methods and styles, with a focus on reward-based techniques and play, as we believe training and learning should be enjoyable, motivating, and cultivate a relationship. This is done by using food, toys and play, praise and attention, and/or exploration as rewards.

Lessons are customized based on your goals and who your individual dog is. Our goal is to help you and your dog succeed. Together, we will determine what the best training methods, strategies and tools for your dog and you will be so that you can achieve your goals and live your best lives together.

Client Testimonials

“I had taken 16 weeks of puppy training and had a private trainer several times before I found Anthony. He is amazing. He noticed immediately what we were doing wrong walking Teddy. Teddy was anxious of loud trucks, bicycles and some other dogs. I can’t thank Anthony enough. I have a happier dog and now we all love our walks!”

-Deb C.

Before working with Anthony, walking with our dog Kent was extremely stressful. He struggled with leash pulling, and leash reactivity which made even short walks feel overwhelming. From the very first private dog training session with Anthony we saw improvement. Anthony took the time to explain why Kent was reacting the way he was, pointing out his body language, triggers and stress signals. The lessons were clear and realistic and were super easy to apply in our walks.

Anthony is an exceptional dog trainer. I’ve seen a huge difference in my skittish Cane Corso, Xena, since starting with him three months ago. His unique focus on using a combination of play and obedience was Xena's main motivation for learning, and the results have been remarkable. Because of Anthony I feel I have a strong bond with my dog. I highly recommend him.
